After more than 20 years of extraordinary service, our founder and Chairperson Jill Parker MBE has retired from the Board of Trustees.

Late last year, the Board accepted Jill's resignation, marking the close of a remarkable chapter in the charity's history — but the work she began continues, with renewed purpose and ambition. Jill is undertaking a "legacy full" handover to Kelsey Debenedictis, our Chair, alongside a growing team of new Trustees who are passionately steering the charity forward. This ensures continuity and fresh energy as The JPK Sussex embarks on its next phase of development. The Board is already formulating ambitious plans to expand the charity's events and projects, with a renewed commitment to advancing rights, quality of life and enjoyment for the adults with learning disabilities we support at Gow Lodge — and, in time, beyond. "Jill has been nothing less than remarkable in everything she has done for The JPK Sussex. We now look forward to building on her legacy with renewed purpose and ambition." — The Board of Trustees
