We were delighted to welcome the Lloyds Bank Eastbourne team to Gow Lodge to volunteer some hours weeding and tidying our garden, so our residents can continue to enjoy this much-loved outdoor space.

The JPK Project is Lloyds Bank Eastbourne's current chosen local charity, and alongside their in-branch fundraising, the team took a morning out of the office as part of their "Day to Make a Difference" — on one of the hottest days of the year, no less. Here is what they had to say: "Today, Team Eastbourne used our Day to Make a Difference to lend a helping hand to the JPK Project Eastbourne with some much needed gardening. The JPK Project supports adults with learning disabilities and their families, helping them build confidence, develop independence, and access opportunities within the community. It was fantastic to spend the morning giving something back and helping to keep their outdoor spaces looking their best." Huge thanks to Mel MacCormick (Community Champion), Paul Larkin (Branch Manager) and Kim Morley for getting stuck in. Despite the soaring temperatures, their hard work, teamwork and enthusiasm made a real difference to the garden — and to the residents who use it every day. — Could you help too? — The garden at Gow Lodge is not a big space and is reasonably easy to maintain, but it thrives on a little regular love. If you are a keen gardener, or simply someone happy to spend a few hours every few weeks helping out, we would love to hear from you. Please get in touch via our contact page and we will put you in touch with the right person.
